How the World Works

 The Grade 2s started inquiring into their new unit this week, under the transdisciplinary theme, How the World Works. 

The students spent a lot of time defining and understanding some of the tricky terminology associated with the unit. In groups, they worked at unscrambling words to find the Central Idea and the Lines of Inquiry. To share what they know, and would like to know about the theme, the students did a 'Think, Puzzle, Explore' activity about some of the complex concepts. Already from this activity, so many questions were posed, which we hope to answer as we dive deeper into this unit.

It has been wonderful to see how excited the students are about diving into this unit. They are already so knowledgeable about this theme and have already been teaching each other about the several facts that they know. 

We ended off the week by bidding farewell to our beloved, Taichi! Thank you, parents, for contributing to our indoor picnic.
